Dear
Reader
Do you like to read a well-written sales letter? A letter
that informs, amuses, perhaps even excites you? A letter
that gets you nodding your head ever so slightly as you
warm to the writer's message?
A persuasive sales letter is worth far more than its weight
in gold. It can be worth tens, if not hundreds
of thousands of dollars to your company. It will
reach many more prospects than your salesmen will ever call
upon, and does this for a tiny fraction of the cost.
A thoughtfully crafted sales letter can help you
launch new
products, break into
new
markets and regain
lost customers.
Your sales letter can be paper based or an email, it can be
a fax broadcast or a splash page on the net. The elements
of success are the same in all of these.
Would you like to know what they are?
First and foremost you
must appeal to the reader's self interest. You have to show
how your product or service can fulfil some need in your
reader's quest to live a
happy life.
You also need to consider who you're talking to. The words
and phrases you choose for writing to CEOs would be
different to those of mothers. (As any mother will tell
you, she's far busier than a CEO.)
You need to create
desire with your words. That
means knowing how to translate features into
persuasive
benefits.
But that's really just the start.
If you want the kind of sales letter that gets
results,
give me a call on (02) 6653 9212 or send me an email.
